Project White (27/12/11)

About a year ago, a group of strangers on 4chan's yuri board came together and had a crazy idea of building our own yuri visual novel. It didn't take long for each of us to bring our twisted contributions to the table. Development occurred slowly due to our limited numbers, but for now this is where we are:

In the town of Finhurst, on the coast of England, Holly Knight has just begun her final year at the exclusive all-girls' boarding school of St. Claire's. It is a time of nervous excitement for those around her as they prepare for their lives after graduation. However, Holly finds herself stuck in the past without any goals or guiding ambitions. Amidst these shiftless feelings, six people enter into Holly's life who each have the potential to alter both her present and future.

This is a non-commercial game that depends on what free time the participants can spare. So if you think you can help out, feel free to contact us.
The type of people we're looking for:

We're currently accepting new artists, programmers, writers and proofreaders. For artists, we are looking in particular for anyone who can do good background art — though because of labour involved with art for a project like this, anybody with solid skills in lineart and has access to programs that can open and save .psd files would be welcome to apply. Programmers will need to be proficient with Python and Ren'py and should also be comfortable working in collaboration.

We have space left for one or two full writers, but we do set a fairly high standard for our work, so please only apply if you feel confident in your abilities and have some pieces you can show to back this up. Capable proofreaders are always welcome, and need to have a working knowledge of UK English and be proficient in recognising errors pertaining to punctuation, grammar, style consistency and general story techniques.

If you would like to apply, the best way to contact us is through our forum. Thyroid, Shadow and Killdream are the respective leads in charge of art, writing and programming.

Thank you guys for your generosity. We have so far collected a total of USD$192. By the preference you've listed, $50 was donated to the Christchurch Earthquake Appeal, and $142 was donated to the Japan Tsunami and Earthquake Appeal.

I will send a screenshot confirmation to all the following people.

Commission Open for Charity (SLOTS FULL)

I'm opening commissions again to raise money for two disaster reliefs - one for the Christchurch earthquake that hit my country last month, and the other for the earthquake that's causing the on-going crisis in Japan.

I intend to donate the proceeds from the commission to the New Zealand Red Cross Society for their 2011 Earthquake Appeal, and their Japan Earthquake and Tsunami Appeal 2011

Please check the below section for the commission options I offer and their prices. And please also specify in your note which of the two disaster relief you'd like a commission for. If you have something particular in mind,  don't hesitate to inquire in note form.

And of course, you can choose to cut the middle man and make a direct donation to the many humanitarian efforts active in those areas. I expect your country's Red Cross website will accept online donation for these causes. The Japanese Red Cross website does not accept online donations, but does provide details on how to wire money to their account.

My thoughts go out to the people affected by the quake, and to our friends in Japan.

Commissions (last revised 11/09)

Prices:
-Single image with single character, B&W: US$20. Colored: US$25
-Single image with 2 characters, B&W: US$25. Colored: US$33
-Single image with 4-5 characters, B&W: US$30. Colored: US$50

-Single comic page, B&W: $45. Colored: US$60

Process:
Here's what happens -
1. After you've selected a service option, contact me by note expressing intent to purchase and provided me with the details/references. I proceed to make a preliminary sketch(s) and give an estimated time of completion.
2. At this point if you're happy with the sketch(s), you may send the fees to my PayPal account (other payment methods possible - see below section). As soon as I receive the payment, I get to work.
3. Completed artwork will be sent to you by e-mail in digital format. I can send the hard copies (including sketches), but realise that this will incur physical postage costs on your behalf.

Payment
It is recommended that you use PayPal for the purpose of convenience. I accept payment by mail, but be aware that sending money/cheque by mail is time consuming, and you stand the (high) risk of having your mail lost/stolen.

Note:
-Make sure you browse the gallery first so you get a good idea of the kind of artworks I offer and the general quality to be expected from them, because I will not offer refund on the grounds that "my artwork doesn't look like genuine Da Vinci", etc.

-I tend to upload the finished commission onto my DA gallery (at 1/4 - 1/2 of original resolution). If you'd rather I don't, just drop me a note and I will happily remove it.

-The artwork I produce should not be exploited for commercial ventures. Note that certain uses are welcome provided that I get to put my website address on the image and that my permission was obtained beforehand.

-I defend or waive any rights I have to my artworks, whichever gets me in less trouble.

-Since I have no way to know whether my clients' are at legal age(s), I will not be drawing graphically explicit material for the time being. I have no problem with treading the grey areas though.

Feel free to ask any additional questions through notes.
