My exam's finished and so is our artbook this year! (02/07/09)

1. I swear to Buddah that I'm gonna use this week's holiday to sort through my deviant art account once and for all. I apologise for delayed replies to all the people who commented and asked me questions, and to others whose messages are simply lost and accidentally deleted.

Also thanks to y'all people who continues to check out my page. This sounds corny, but knowing there are people out there who watches my works and believe something good will come out of me gives me the drive to continue to improve.

Our group Hiyaku Studio will be selling our full-colored artbook this year, which we promise will be bigger, better and juicier than all our previous projects. 3. This is more of a personal question: How have your career influenced your way your life?

Ever since I started studying medicine, I've become much more health-conscious than before. I'm jogging at least every 2 days nowadays and eating much more fruits and vegetables than before. I get paranoid of developing blood clots whenever I have to sit down for more than an hour, and I've been scaring my flatmates silly on the dinner table with conversations about cancer, heart disease and diabetes. One of my friends is an engineering students and it shows through, because he can't help but get attracted to feats of modern engineering (eg the bird nest stadium), and he never misses shows like top gear.

How have your lifestyle changed ever since you started on your job?

My commission slots have just gotten full. A big thank you to all who've commissioned me so far. For those who missed out, I'm afraid I won't know when I'll be open again - what's with my new academic year starting and all. Nonetheless I will update this journal if I decide to commission again, so if you're still keen, keep an eye out for this entry.

-Single image with single character, B&W: US$20. Colored: US$25
-Single image with 2 characters, B&W: US$25. Colored: US$33
-Single image with 4-5 characters, B&W: US$30. Colored: US$50

-Single comic page, B&W: $45. Colored: US$60

Process:
Here's what happens -
1. After you've selected a service option, contacted me by note expressing intent to purchase and provided me with the details/references. I proceed to make a preliminary sketch(s).
2. At this point if you're happy with the sketch(s), you may send the fees to my PayPal account (other payment methods possible - see below section). As soon as I receive the payment, I get to work.
3. Completed artwork will be sent to you by e-mail in digital format. I can send the hard copies (including sketches), but realise that this will incur physical postage costs on your behalf.

Payment
It is recommended that you use PayPal for the purpose of convenience. I accept payment by mail, but be aware that sending money/cheque by mail is time consuming, and you stand the (high) risk of having your mail lost/stolen.

Note:
-Make sure you browse the gallery first so you get a good idea of the kind of artworks I offer and the general quality to be expected from them, because I will not offer refund on the grounds that "my artwork doesn't look like genuine Da Vinci", etc.

-I tend to upload the finished commission onto my DA gallery (at 1/4 - 1/2 of original resolution). If you'd rather I don't, just drop me a note and I will happily remove it.

-The artwork I produce should not be exploited for commercial ventures. Note that certain uses are welcome provided that I get to put my website address on the image and that my permission was obtained beforehand.

-I defend or waive any rights I have to my artworks, whichever gets me in less trouble.

-Since I have no way to know whether my clients' are at legal age(s), I will not be drawing graphically explicit material for the time being. I have no problem with treading the grey areas though.

I should've put this up a loooong time ago.

We have spare copies of our studio's doujinshi this year up for sale.

The book contains 4 short stories, made by members of - me, , , and with a total of 65 pages.

Deviation removed due to policy violation (06/10/07)

If you're wondering where the bunny girl x cat girl deviation has gone to, it's been deleted by the DA admin. If you haven't seen it before, no problem because it's not coming back - I don't plan on uploading it again.

I was told that the deviation was either sexually, racially, politically, or religiously offensive, but they didn't state which exactly. So for all we know, my deviation could have been all four.

Anyway, now that I've got a deviation removed, all I need now is a daily deviation to achieve a deviantart hat trick.
